Trip Bliss

Trip Bliss was designed to help plan travel itineraries more efficiently. It allows users to create collaborative itineraries with fellow travelers. Trip Bliss also offers filters to provide the best experience no matter your travel needs.

The Problem

Creating a trip itinerary can be tough. With an overload of available resources it can be quite overwhelming as well. We find ourselves over researching, going from one platform to another nervous to miss out on an experience.

The Solution

Build a user friendly platform that eases the burden of planning a trip itinerary.

Research

Research Goals

  • Learn how young adventurers (20-35 years old) are planning their trip itineraries.

  • Gain knowledge of what tools people are using to create trip itineraries.

  • Understand what sources most impact user’s plans.

Interview Objectives

  • What resources do travelers use to plan their trip itinerary?

  • Discover if travelers plan most of their trip while at their destination or ahead of time?

  • Do they feel at ease when planning a trip itinerary?

  • Do travelers prefer using recommendations from others?

Key Findings

  • Recommendations from friends or family are highly valued (word of mouth).

  • Users are skeptical to trust reviews from sites or apps which causes them to look through multiple sources.

  • Users are frustrated and overwhelmed when planning a trip itinerary (too many sources).

  • Users have difficulty planning an itinerary with fellow travelers (sharing, creating, etc.).

  • Social Media influences and inspires itinerary plans.

Creating a better experience

After researching competitors and analyzing the user’s journey, the features I needed to include were:

  • A customizable experience.

  • Ability to collaborate on itinerary creation with friends.

  • Social media aspect to explore other user’s trips.

  • 100% verified reviews to build trust with users.
